208

When I was young, my dad taught me a very important lesson. He snatched my music sheets from under my nose, and at that very moment, I cried, because I thought I would die without them. And he said to me, "You will never make anything your own unless you take it to heart."
Out of all the lessons of logic and rational thinking my dad has lectured me on, this is the only time he has ever taught me of art and passion. Out of all the times he's told me to keep an open eye for common sense and caution, this is the only time he has ever told me to close my eyes and be fearless.
I want to be inspired, but not tied down. I want to make something my own.
