The Olympic hype is a little much right now, but it's sick to see Vancouver in such high spirits.
Downtown is hecka crazy these days and things are starting to become almost Hong Kong-esque, but the skies are clear (which is great down here but a nightmare up in the mountains), there is an atmosphere of celebration and the music is excellent, so I can't complain. For once, I don't mind the sports talk and walking until my feet grow sore.
I really hope good things, apart from a newfound sense of Canadian pride and unity, will come out of these two weeks.
