Today, I attended the baptism of a good friend of mine. She's one of those few people in this world that emit true joy. I'm not talking about happiness or laughter, but that joy that communicates beyond language or physical touch. And it spreads too. It spreads like wildfire. I teared up about 20 times between her testimony, the words of encouragement for her and the hugs all around. It was just amazing to see how many people she's blessed and how many people wish blessings upon her. I'm so excited to see what God does with her and her passion for Him, for music, for people and for love. He's working in her already.
I'm just so proud and excited for this girl. It makes me wish that I understood a little more about how important baptism is when I got baptised. I feel like I really had no idea what I was doing back then, but seeing her standing in that hot tub, I knew that she knew exactly what she was doing. I'm glad she's found the man that she's spending the rest of her life with. I'm glad that she can stand tall and strong, knowing that this guy's got her back, even ifthe rest of the world doesn't. (Although, I can't think of any reason why anyone wouldn't have her back.)

"I'm running, and I'm not turning back."
