I learned A LOT at History Makers.
I learned that just being teenage Christians don't make us the church of tomorrow, but being a Christian makes us the church of today.
That hatred cannot cast out hatred, only love can do that.
That unforgiveness hurts the unforgiver just as much as the unforgiven.
That God isn't our number 1, he's our life.
That this world needs people to be passionate about what He's passionate about, and that nothing else is enough.
That God placed whatever passion we have in us for a reason, and that's it's by design, not chance.
That perfect love expels all fear.
But that's the easy part. Learning is the easy part. Worshipping with 4000 other kids is the easy part. Being on a spiritual high, and feeling like I've changed is the easy part.
But actually being fearless is the hard part. I'll let you know whether I'm different or not when I'm done dealing with all the crap in my life that's become exposed over his past weekend. In fact, I think in going through that process, God is going to change me more than listening to amazing sermons and music. Reconnecting is important, but acting on it is more important.
