A few minutes on the phone made me hecka miss them more.
Happiness Meme, Day 27
There are two things that my grandpa loves, foodwise: fish (EVERY SINGLE FREAKING DAY! I don't think I'm going to be eating fish when I come home.) and dim sum. I noticed that we've barely gone out for dim sum at all, so I told him I'd take him out today. My grandpa isn't someone who really likes to talk, and for the most part, we don't have much in common to talk about anyways. He forced himself to ask me a few questions about university and about my cousins. I made a feeble attempt to ask him about horse racing. We ended up eating in silence, as usual. As we were walking out, my grandpa, who can only recognize 4 letters of the alphabet, stuttered out, "Thank you," in English. It was possibly the cutest thing ever.

its always awkward talking to grandpas... two generations up and of a different gender... it's tough it really is... but all that matters is you guys love eachother and you're family an that's enough to have in common :)
