400

When you think of Hong Kong, you think bright city lights and shopping districts. You think of frilly cute clothes for super cheap and things that are KAWAII~! You think of the super-efficient MTR and Ocean Park. You think of crowds, business suits and street food, which everyone tells you to avoid but is way too succulent to resist. You think of how when you look up, all you see are buildings that cover the sky.
You don't think of familys of 10 packed into places for familys of 3. You don't think of the kids who play at night in parks full of drug addicts and the kids who flinch when you touch them or the kids who beg for your attention. You don't think of "massage parlours," prostitution or illegal gambling dens. You don't think of how if you really look up, you'll see brokenness beyong measure.
At least, I didn't.

Happiness Meme, Day 41
I started helping out at ICM today, and I ran into some old friends from back home. It was a sudden and short reunion but a pleasant surprise.
