Today was day two of lack of tutors, and I got put with a bunch of girls who have zero attention span and the tendancy to fight over pencil crayons. I spent 2 hours trying to teach them what green was in Chinese, and I don't think they absorbed anything... That's besides the point though. I just want you guys to know what a tough life I live over here. (Kidding.)
I've always had ties with children ministries, and I've come to see how easy it is to talk to kids about God. It's almost built into me to think of the simpliest way to tell Bible stories, find Bible-themed activity sheets and tell them kids how much Jesus loves them. But the parents of some of the girls in my group have asked us not to force Christianity on their children, so it really challenged me to go by the quote "Preach the Gospel at all times, and if necessary, use words."

Happiness Meme, Day 49

It's very cliche, but it always makes my heart swell when we circle up and sing songs like "Yes Jesus Loves Me!" and "Give Thanks" after each tutoring session. The kids always sing at the top of their lungs, and it's so joyful. It's also the only time we can ever get them to do anything all at once.




Yeah.. Just doing some reminscing of last summer's Sunday School class. Take note of Cailou and Jared and how that reflects the amount of control we had over the kids.
