My school just had two big games: the Senior Boys soccer game for the Fraser Valley Championships and the Senior Girls volleyball game against PA (we have a bit of a rivalry with them, and seriously, who has tripping waves as their mascot?). I'm really choked that I unfortunately couldn't make it to either of them, but from what I heard, hella people from our school went to show their support (apparently, even alumni showed up!), and we basically dominated. My school's awesome; no big deal*.
I would love to play it cool. Yenno, be one of those angsty teenagers who don't give a crap about sports events and pep rallies and can't wait to get out highschool, but I'm not. I don't know if it's because of all the hype of grad, or because it's sort of my job to keep up the school spirit, but I'm really getting into all the events that are going on around school. There's this sort of optimistic vibe that I get when I walk down the halls, and I hope I'm not the only one feeling it. Grad year really is the best, because it's our last chance to experience all things highschool.
Fly Falcons Fly!
*I just had a flashback to B saying, "That's verbal irony, because it is a big deal!" HAHA.
