You're all "Omg, I'm so tortured artist."
And I'm all, "Omg, you're so rad."
And it's all so promising and impossible at the same time.
Things I Like:
#6.
When I was young(er), I would love to delve into my mom's closet. I'd pretend I was grown-up in her high heels and pencil skirts, fantasizing that one day I'd be as pretty as her, as smart as her and maybe even have freckles* like her. Now, even at 18**, I still like to dig into my mom's clothes and pull stuff out. We have really different tastes and she's A LOT tinier than me, but I just love the familiarity and the camaraderie in knowing we can share something besides blood. I think an inner part of me still pursues the idea that I might grow up to be like my mother one day.
I'm thinking that this gray cardigan might be added to the collection of things I "borrow" from my mom and never end up giving back.
PS: Whenever I wear my owl necklace, it makes me feel like I'm Clara C.
*She hates them, but I think they're cute.
**What the. Where did all the time go?
