This week's assignment is to not only know a passage by heart, but take it to heart. Let's see how this goes.

1 Therefore if you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any common sharing in the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, 2 then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and of one mind. 3 Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, 4 not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others. - Philippians 2:1-4

Things I Like:
#41.

A guy that used to go to my school is in a band called Good for Grapes, and they recently won SuperNova's Battle of the Bands. Honestly, I was only voting for them, because I knew one of their members, but I actually sat down and listened to their music today and they're actually really good (not that I doubted that they were). They're alternative/folk and remind me a lot of Mumford & Sons and Fleet Foxes.. Probably because they're influenced by them and they cover their songs very well. Good for Grapes's originals are ridiculously wonderful too, and I'm definitely going to be seeing them live one day before they get rich and famous and the tickets are still cheap.
Anyways, check out their video and their Facebook page!

... And is my dog not the cutest thing in the world? My dad just got her a new rain jacket for the Spring, and it's the most adorable thing of my life.
You have no idea how much yelping, squealing and random noise-making I had to do to get Cookie to look at the camera.

Hey there! Thanks for checking out Good for Grapes on http://www.supernova.com - they are really talented and worked very hard to win the National Vote.

Supernova and Rogers have awarded the band a total of $3,000 and urMusic promotional opportunities to help get their music out there. If you want to find more awesome local bands you may have never heard, visit Supernova :)
